Growth Speed

There are six different grades of Yo-kai growth: Super Fast, Fast, Normal, Slow, Super Slow, and Ultra Slow.

Evolution

Indicates whether or not a Yo-kai can evolve. Those that can have a O mark, and those that can’t have an X mark.

Type

This indicates what type of actions a Yo-kai is likely to take in battle: Attack, Defense, Healing, Support, Sabotage, or Technique.

Resistance

The Yo-kai’s resistance to being Inspirited in battle. Graded on five levels, from A to E. (E indicates the most easily Inspirited.)

Laziness

This indicates how likely the Yo-kai is to loaf (i.e., skip its turn) in battle.

Likes/Dislikes

Type of food that the Yo-kai likes or dislikes to eat during battles. Providing favorite foods (and avoiding snacks the creature hates) makes the Yo-kai easier to befriend after it is defeated.

Easiness to Befriend

The more stars, the easier it is to befriend the Yo-kai after you defeat it. Zero stars means the Yo-kai cannot be befriended after battle.

Basic Ability

This table grades the Yo-kai’s five basic stats on a scale from A to E (where A is best).

HP is Hit Points

STR is Attack strength

SPR is Spirit strength

DEF is Defense power

SPD is Speed

Battle Actions

The different actions the Yo-kai can take in battle are listed here. We also include numbers to indicate the strength of the Yo-kai’s Inspirit and Soultimate Move, ranked from 1 to 4 (4 is the strongest).

Location

The primary places where this Yo-kai appears in the game.

Special Acquisition

Some Yo-kai can be acquired in special ways—for example, as a result of the story progression, or via evolutionary fusion or use of the Crank-a-kai.

Reward

This lists the two items that the Yo-kai may drop when defeated. Note that the second item listed is “Rare”—that is, it has a far less chance of dropping.
